    Anyone have wall scrapes

I just found out that in order to grow coralline algae you have to introduce it to your tank .

Anyone have coralline algae scrapes from their glass wall that they can share with me for free?

One product to consider is Purple Helix. Its sold on Amazon or their own website. Its nitrifying bacteria and live coraline algae spores bottled together.

I started with dry rock, have specs of coraline poking up all over the place. Its been 6 months but ive had a problem maintaining proper Alk which I think has slowed its growth.

Depending on how your filtration is set up I would consider running the tank without a filter sock for a day or two after introducing the product.

Awesome! Glad it’s taking off for you. I introduced the product around January so I’m coming up on the 1 year mark. From dry rock to now i’d say roughly 20% covered in coraine. I’ve gotten my alk in line mostly now so it’s taking off. Having to scrape my glass free of coraine every 2 weeks or so.
