    Fish eating at night

Some times getting home late and letting frozen food thaw, I poor it in and turn off lights. Do you think tangs can find that by smell in the dark or am I wasting that feeding?

There have been cases where I feed with just actinic lighting on, I feel like the fish are not quite as effective at finding the food, but still do OK. I would just wait until the lights to turn back on, especially if the tank is totally dark and no ambient light is present.

    Hi Jim.
Tangs as u know are vegi eaters and they can and probably will find it in the morning.
I would float it in a net bag to see what they do, so u can be sure not to mess up your tank.
    Hope this helps, Nancy
